Airtel, Airtel Payments Bank's eKYC Licence Suspended by UIDAI
In its strongest action yet, the UIDAI has temporarily barred Bharti Airtel and Airtel Payments Bank from conducting Aadhaar-based SIM verification of mobile customers using eKYC process as well as e-KYC of payments bank clients.
The action follows allegations of Bharti Airtel using the Aadhaar-eKYC based SIM verification process to open payments bank accounts of its subscribers without their 'informed consent'. UIDAI also took strong objection to allegations that such payments bank accounts are being linked to receive LPG subsidy.

Though the news was first behave like a rumor but after India's famous tech and gadget hubs reports confirmed that Bharti Airtel is temporarily barred from using e-kyc sevice for activation of Sim or Airtel payment Bank.
The process of a opening a new payment bank account and a Sim totally different. But Bharti Airtel did always ask their customer to open the payment bank or not. Though the payment Bank's opening is way different and definitely depending on customer. But airtel automatically opens a payment bank account without asking the customer.
Many of users are don't know about payment bank account but their account is created by default. That is annoying. And its against the violation rules. And its also against the Aadhaar violation rules.
Though the Aadhaar card details are very Sensitive including anyone's address, email id and telephone numbers. So its very annoying that Airtel did such Things without any permission from the owner.
This was found to reflect blatant disregard of Aadhaar Act and Regulations.
